Gunpowder Milkshake Storyline

In her turbulent life as a professional assassin, Scarlet was cruelly forced to abandon her daughter Sam and go on the run. Years later, despite the estrangement, Sam has also grown up into a cold blooded hitwoman. After a high-stake mission spins out of control, putting an innocent 8-year-old girl in the middle of the gang war she has unleashed, Sam has no choice but to go rogue. This ultimately leads her back to her mother and her former hitwomen sidekicks, who all join forces in an avenging war against those who took everything from them.

John Wick Rip Off, but sort of fun

The film gets no points for originality as it’s John Wick with girls. That being said, if you like action movies, it’s pretty fun. Karen Gillan was good. Not a great movie, but I’ll definitely tune in for the sequel. Worth a watch if you are a fan of the genre.

Stylish Fun

I think this was probably the most “fun” Iv had watching a movie in a while. It was just like a pure popcorn movie but done really well.

It was stylish and the filmmakers obviously took time and cared about it. It wasn’t just like “huge fight” scenes. They thought about shots, sets, lighting and it made the difference.

I didn’t love some of the characters at the start because it felt a little too “cartoon” like for me. But they didn’t last long and then the movie found it’s footing more and eased up on the cheese.

I would also say to make this movie even better, make it 1 hour 30. I think that would have made it flow even better.

A disappointment

This looked good from the trailer but the film itself let me down. The script is poor and way too derivative and the over the top comedy is way out of place given the violence elsewhere. The story is too obviously copied from JOHN WICK and the substitution of the library for the hotel doesn’t really work or feel legitimate. Some solid acting talent is present here but Karen Gillan has bitten off more than she can chew as the lead and her doubling is too obvious and too often. Some good fight choreography is lost between the over editing and over cutting. Overall, I expected more but didn’t get it from this film.
