Great documentary

As a non gay non Mormon who lived in Provo, Utah for 2 years because it’s all I could handle. This documentary shows just how hypocritical the Mormon Church is and shines a light on it. Sure it’s ok to be a polygamist and discriminate against anyone who isn’t a Morman and to require a Mormon card to access areas of a Mormon book store but heaven forbid the gay community gets the right to marriage when it doesn’t have anything to do with the Mormon lifestyle. This documentary shows news clips, interviews and one sided politics. Apparently the Constitution doesn’t apply in Utah or the concept of to each their own.

Very Interesting Mormons vs Gay Marriage Documentary

This movie had interesting subject matter and was very well done. The battle between state and federal government is always intriguing for us Americans. I grew up Mormon and lived in Utah and they were very fair and accurate in their depiction of “The Church” (as it is known there). Highlights include clips of their “prophets” making statements on homosexuality and my personal favorite was when one of them tacitly condones violence against homosexuals when recounting his own violent reaction to a homosexual advance by grinning and saying he wasn’t sorry. But aside from having to watch all the haters spout hate it’s a really good movie. The lawyers who take on the case are heroes and I got very emotional watching all the happy gay people get married in spite of all the adversity in a place like Utah. I highly recommend to everyone interested in humanity and if you are an ex-mormon like me, it’s an absolute must see!
