Nearly Departed Movie Reviews
Simple fun with a supernatural twist!
Nearly Departed is a fun little film with some wonderfully recognizable faces. It is slow to build but once you get to know the characters and figure out the wild ride Director Bob Cook is taking you on well, let’s just say that spirits, funeral homes and hearses don’t seem quite so spooky anymore! Lol!
Greg Pitts(Office Space) and Robert Carradine(Revenge of the Nerds) steal the show with their amazing comedic timing. But the one who surprised me was Conor Romero(The Michael J Fox Show) who is the lead. He was funny, sensitive, serious and overall ran a nice gamut of emotions. He is a very talented actor and I look forward to seeing him in more projects.
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. I didn’t take it too seriously and enjoyed the ride. I found this film to be very entertaining and appreciated the wide range of talent, locations and adventures we were exposed to (a side trip to Gatorland for one).
In these crazy times when life is so serious it felt good to laugh and just let the movie be what it is! It was totally worth the viewing.
