It’s Like “Country Side” Plus “Homicide” Get It???

What a brilliant title I mean it’s about going to the country side which is usually like a happy place but then there are homicides that happen there which is a big surprise and not a happy thing so it’s like Country-cide get it? That’s a very awesome title unfortunately it’s all down hill from there when you get to how good—I mean bad—this movie is. Actually by bad I really mean awful because this movie is grade A for Awful.

Worst Ever

Just a horrible movie. 1 is being very generous. Hillbillies meet stupid girl. But in the end stupid girl outwits stupider troll people. Just a waste of film.

I adore this

Plays like a parody of cringey-couples Horror trope, like Bear With Us/Back Country or The Rental. The dialogue in the first 10 minutes establishes the perfect Wall Of Resentments that all couples build while trying to be lovable due to fear of being independent.

She: “Sorry you have to do all the driving because I don’t drive. Getting my license just never came up, because the drive-in I worked at when I was 16 closed down and I didn’t have any money that summer to pay the 30$ DMV fee, so now I’m in my late 20s with no driver’s license.” He: (showing remarkable restraint in not throttling this completely helpless fully-grown adult, smiling chump-ily) “Well it’s never to late.” She: “I DIDN’T SAY I’M NEVER GOING TO GET MY DRIVER’S LICENSE. I SAID I JUST DON’T HAPPEN TO HAVE GOTTEN IT YET.” He: (distracted from her yappity-yap nonsense because he is trying to figure out where they are, because when he asked her to read the map, she did it wrong) “That’s nice, dear.” She: “Yappity-yap-Blah-blah-bridesmaid’s dress my sister made me buy was so expensive that I couldn’t afford to fly to the wedding so I’m really glad you are so desperate for female companionship that you agreed to become my surrogate-parent and do absolutely everything for me, because I am completely helpless.” He: “think nothing of it, I am likewise very glad that you are so helpless, and that I am such a chump. We are a perfect couple.”

I don’t know who Brett Kelly is but THIS SCRIPT IS PURE GOLD, and the actors perform it with such perfectly portrayed simpering expression and tone.

Verdict: Brett Kelly is a genius and these actors are stars.✨
