Milk Movie Reviews

Heartfelt documentary 10/10

I’m really surprised at how far beneath the radar this is flying but perhaps I shouldn’t be.

This documentary is a passionately made argument for the benefits of natural childbirth and breastfeeding. I never felt that it was trying to make anyone feel bad if they couldn’t or chose not to breastfeed but it is certainly clear about it’s position: breastfeeding is the best option available.

It features a variety of different health experts and mothers from different parts of the world and touches on the big industry that is behind the push for formula over breast milk (although it keeps a safe distance from going too far in to this area).

The whole documentary is only an hour and a half long but it flies by and is competently directed and paced by Noemi Weis. The only improvement I could suggest is thst they gave the fathers a voice: I don’t believe there was even one prominent male voice here. Nether-the-less I have rated this as a 10/10 not because it is perfect but because it is so important for people to hear this message.

I found this available for free on Amazon Prime, UK.
