A Remarkable Life (2016)

4.7/10

A Remarkable Life Storyline

The movie takes a hard left turn when both the female and male lead actors fall in love with a cute, sexy (and somewhat disinterested) blonde that they simultaneously notice while sipping martinis. Tracy, while interested emotionally in her autistic doctor, itis, finds her loins to be ever attracted to the blonde at the bar. Just as intensely, Lenny cannot avoid thinking about what the hot blonde is doing with her life, and if it going as swimmingly as it should.—Kelly Garfield

A Remarkable Life Movie Reviews

Terrific slice of life with a long list of memorable characters

This must be a true indy . . . I doubt it got much, if any, theater run. I stumbled into it on Freevee, a streaming service.

Many positive aspects — a film that touches on many of today’s relevant issues — family, blended family, a special needs child, a couple that cares but cannot stay together, a strong dose of faith and, best of all, seven or eight characters you care about.

Hard to select one cast member above the others, but I was most strongly struck by three older men. Mark Margolis and Eric Roberts play the fathers to two of the lead characters. John O’Hurley is a Roman Catholic priest who provides much of the conscience and direction to sheep who have wandered from the flock.

Extreme change of pace from most of what’s getting to theaters these days. Smoothly shot (Denver) with an excellent score. Has some feel of a Hallmark offering; thankfully, this is without the too-polished gloss and smiley faces of most Hallmarks.

Definite plus; worth 95 minutes of your time. Family fare with some parental guidance suggested. Too few like this as we push two decades into the millennium.

Thoroughly enjoyed this

Lots of witty humor. Strong character development and just an interesting plot! Will watch again.

Worth a watch if you love Denver and local artists!

As a long time Denver resident and lover of local artists and arts, I found “A Remarkable Life” to be heartwarming and surprisingly delightful. It was so neat to see all the scenes filmed in Denver and see familiar actors playing rolls in locations where I have strolled myself.

The storyline is clever and engaging, with a few surprises along the way.

Vohn Regensburger is a Denver local and has many talents including his direction of this film.

As a filmmaker and composer Vohn has created award-winning films, including “Last of the Romantics”.

His documentary film, “The Longest Walk – The Charles Burrell Story” is his latest cinematic production.

Worth a watch!
