Hateful.
The mind-numbing vapidity or the main character lead me to ponder whether or not this was some attempt at a pitch black satire.
It doesn’t seem that was the case.
Povitsky sleep-walks through this like someone that’s been awake for 3 days on a mollly bender and is in the final hours where she’s chugged half a bottle of Ambien and is slowly drifiting off. A vapid anti-comedy, you can spot where the jokes are meant to be, they’re just not funny, it’s like watching a feature length, 20-something version of Everybody Loves Raymond.
Sadly the film doesn’t end with a half hour of the main character being attacked with a screwdriver, so I didn’t laugh at all.
Complete cringe.
It takes an entire 5 minutes of watching this movie to see that a child wrote the entire script. Every single word of every actor from the time it starts is just complete cringe that you would of seen in a kids show in the 1990s. Entire first 5 minutes is of her binge eating from 10 different fast food places and then coming home to her family and complaining that they’re trying to feed her and therefore fat shaming her and that she’s allergic to gluten and can’t eat their food, followed by her brother saying how he’ll wipe his butt with her food? I’m not sure what any part of this is supposed to funny, watchable, or even having a point in a TV show at all. Just complete and utter childish cringe that a child wouldn’t even enjoy. Just watch the first 5 minutes and you’ll see.
If you can finish this movie, you should get a medal.
Someone involved in this movie must have a big family for it to have a rating over 5. Considering the cast, this is genuinely one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I couldn’t finish it. I don’t understand how these movies get greenlit and made. I guess having Bill, Bobby and some others attached helps, but my god. It’s filled with bad jokes, bad bits, bad premises, most of all bad acting. This is from a group of some of the most beloved comedians today. Bobby lee, while funny, plays the same character he always does. Bills line about shutting up might be the funniest moment or sentence in the movie. Do yourself a favor, and support these comics by buying tickets to their standup, but don’t give your money to anyone who would allow this to be made.
