About him & her Movie Reviews
Refreshingly Old-school with artistic elements
I liked this one very much.
Full of details and interesting story-telling, it developes a romance, which is INTERESTING to watch.
I liked the organization of the film-making, the timeless format of visual presentation.
No ideology filled in it – it’s pure and artistic.
What I did not like: It was a “bit” slow and some exaggerations are in place.
But the movie seems complete and not exaggerated as a whole.
Much more: It’s a beautiful love-story to watch!
Believable and well executed!
Highly recommanded.
Especially for people, who don’t like the “modern” fast-paced way of things full of gender-propaganda!
8/10.
Achingly Poignant, Refreshingly Hopeful Love story
Deeply moving and emotional to its core, the actors do an incredible job bringing their quietly tormented characters to life and their immediate palpable connection is guaranteed to make you long for the time when phone lines got crossed. The electric chemistry between the two leads fills the space between them long before the characters actually meet up, I can’t believe the actors didn’t meet until after filming. Every element of the production design (especially the fort scene) and lighting feels painstakingly curated to maintain the beautiful sense of longing between Him and Her. Not typically a fan of earnestness, but this movie manages to hit hard without resorting to cliches in a way most romantic movies are unable to.
