The New Toy Storyline

Samy lives happily outside the system, in the housing projects, alongside his childhood friends and his wife Jihane, who is expecting their first child. To provide for the needs of his future family – very reluctantly – he takes a job as a night watchman in a luxury goods store. Philippe Etienne is the wealthiest man in France. Cold, unfeeling, since his wife died a year ago, he has devoted himself entirely to his business. Alexandre – his only son, and heir to the entire Etienne fortune – keeps his father at arms’ length, seeking refuge in the lonely world of the spoiled child. A battle in social classes

Two different lives that make us think about the society and the system: the capitalism. The power of money and how the rich can litteraly control another life’s guy who is more in debt and have money problem. We can see that man clearly give his “body” to that kid because of money and we can identify ourself in that main character because he needed the money and how he will transform himself trough that rich kid and the father too. We see also the main character give more advice to the father who is more strict and only count in the business. Samy will try to understand better the kid because of the lost of his mother and the way that he cant trust people because they are always here for the money. A nice movie with some nice jokes. I spend a good time but was a little bit superficial and meaningless: i have the impression that the movie try to glorify that situation about rich people. And the poor people only bring joy and relationship: pretty cliche but it have some more interesting moments even if its pretty superficial.
