Coffee Kart Storyline

Clare has a dream to become a chef and open her own restaurant. There’s only one problem, she can’t cook. Not one to be easily discouraged, Clare decides it might be easier to become a barista instead. “Coffee Kart” follows the journey of a young woman as she strives to make her dream come true, even if it is not what she thought it would be.

Not exactly engaging cinema

I watch low budget films because they’re often either so strange and bad that they’re funny or surprising diamonds in the rough. This film is neither.

It’s called Coffee Kart but the first time you see the coffee cart is nearly 50min into an 80min film. I mean I didn’t really want to watch a movie about a coffee cart anyways but for most of the film I was like, “why is this called coffee kart?”

Possibly the worst part was the stream of jokes about complicated coffee orders. This was overdone by the end of the 1990s. We get it, people who make custom coffee orders are pretentious and insufferable. Ha…ha…ha…

Don’t waste your time

The only way Coffee Kart received good reviews was most likely from family and/or friends of the people in it. This is a horrible storyline, the movie seriously lacks energy. The critic that stated the piano playing was annoying is correct. The music was synthesized on a keyboard for the entire movie. It’s as if the music was on repeat as with the character and her whining issues. Do not waste your time thinking it will get better, it doesn’t.

This may quite possibly be the worst movie I’ve ever seen the first 20 min of. If the actors volunteered, they were overpaid. Add that the main character somehow manages to come off as ignorant & narcissistic while still seemingly naïve enough to be raised on an island by sea turtles and dull enough to be considered a blunt object. It may get better, I only saw 20 min. I’ll never know.
